Sold out. Sells out in a couple of weeks. The broadalbin boat club is hosting the GSLFF tourney on the same day minus the Walleye category. That is unlimited entrants

There is plenty of room to fish, only some 1000 to 1250 actually fish, The cars line up at Lanzi;s one mile both ways on the side of the road plus full lot. the lake being 29 miles long will give you lots of area to fish alone. Its the busiest day on the dead sea

We have five guys entered in the tourney.  Always a good day.

Given it's supposed to be brutally cold, I'll probably take the truck out.  How's the lake access off of the Broadalbin boat launch?  We usually drive out from Lakeside drive in Mayfield, but theres a big pressure ridge that extends from Sunset to the middle of the lake and cuts off our access.

Thanks...

I think it was the second yr of the tourney,my friend and i rented one of Daves shanties and fished the whole night till 6am sat morning of the tourney, the wind was brutal, actual temp was -14 in the morning,my sleeping bag was stuck to the floor.it took an hour to get the tip ups out. We did win the 7th hr of the tourney. this weekend looks to be just as cold and nasty. good luck and stay warm. Staying in Hotel friday night just to old for that over night on the ice stuff

Out on the lake now.  15-16" measured ice. About 2" snow. Suppose to get another 3-6" tonight an tomorrow am. Good luck to everyone fishing.

-35 wind chill will put a damper on some of the fisherman. I know a lot of guys will say '' it will better my chance to win some money". but that is not what it is all about. It is suppose to be a good time on the ice. So everyone keep an eye on the others that are fishing with you and Good Luck....h2l

Sorry that happened, but it is advertised as a catch and release event. In the rules it clearly states all fish must be alive, dead fish will not be weighed, all fish become the property of the event, for release. It is to keep from greatly damaging the fish population.

Ended up being a beautiful day on the ice.  We were dead in the middle of the lake and didnt have any trouble with wind until about 2:30pm.
