Anyone make a Homemade flip over cover
« on: Dec 20, 2014, 10:47 PM »
As the title says, has anyone made their own transport cover for their flipover or sled? I picked up a frabil solo and can't find a transport cover for it. Looking for ideas of DIY ones or someone that had on for it.  If it dosent pan out I'll be in contact with the local upholstery guys.

For less than $20.00 you can buy one on eBay....I don't think you can get one made for less than that.

The difference between an 8" hole and a 10" hole is.....a 10" hole will usually give you your boot back!

In the food chain of life...its not good to be referred to as: "a good eating size".

I had one Of those 8x8 pop up canopies for camping or whatever. Well one fine windy day the wind caught it and took it about 20 feet in the air and when it dropped out the sky the legs and frame bent really bad making it unusable. Rather than throwing the whole thing away, I took the canvas top off of it, cut it down to a size that was a little bigger than my shack and had a relative sew elastic around the entire edge. It fit my shack perfectly. I've been using it for three years now and im sure it will last for many years more.

Cover for a Clam Kenai might fit. Kenai is 38"x48".

I have an older Frabil XL Twin and they don't make covers to fit it anymore. I bought a $5 tarp, laid in on top, cut it to size, hot glued the edges doubled over and put grommets around it on the doubled edges then ran a $2 piece of elastic (bungee type) cord and tied off. It works great and sheds snow well. Never had it blow off even in high winds towing behind ATV. Sorry but can't figure out how to post an image.
