Color of fishing line
« on: Dec 27, 2014, 09:53 AM »
Anyone ever try a fishing line other then clear flouro? I'm interested if anyone has noticed a difference if using the lime green or orange line so one can see it better?

I know a few guys on here swear by golden stren. I use fire line on some reels. Both white and black for catching eyes in deeper water.

On my panfish rod I run 3lb ice suffix in Orange. Then a tiny barrel swivel to stop line twist. Then I run a foot and a half leader of 2 lb flouro..
It'll eat.

Personally I run 6lb red line with a 4lb clear leader and I don't have a problem at all. Usually catch whatever I mark on my vexilar. The red lets me see it easily when the fish won't even move a spring bobber.

I love golden Stern ...    Did you ever paint all the walls in your room black and paint florescent mural's on your walls that looked like outer space and hang all the planets from golden Stern under two 4 foot black lights?

Blue line is the trick

can't  see  blue  line  with  a  lattern on a  night  bite  and  you  can't  see  it  once  it hits  the  hole  any  good  crappie  fisherman  looks  for  slack in the  hole
