You know, I was just thinking about the amount of time that is spent on this website right now because we don't have good ice.  I find myself looking at other states to see how they are doing and I have to say, PA has one of the best group of guys and gals giving input into this site.  NOW WE NEED ICE

I do the same thing. The guys who have the great Ice for many months are fortunate.

There is no sustained cold anywhere in the long range forecast , cold a few days then back in the 40's the next couple , could be a bad year. Can't make money plowin snow in this weather pattern.

I'm seeing a whole week with lows in single digits  highs in lower-mid 20s.  So just gotta hope that holds true.   If we could just get decent ice couple warm days won't hurt it to much as long as the night time lows drop well below freezing.  I look at lows more then anything.    Remember days are short and high temperature may only last a few hours. The lows last much longer.

The only plus is you can go over your gear and find more projects to do. I already rigged ten (at least) rods with line and jigs but find myself randomly switching out the jigs. Dug out an old Lazer 5" auger that I got off e-bay a few years back. Pulled the blades and sanded down all the rust spots and primed it. Need to buy a little gloss black Rustoleum after the holiday craze dies down a bit. I paid 55 bucks for it and it looked like it had been used only a few times though the blades were so, so. It's pushing 60 here btw, time to hit the egg nog!

    ( X 2 )  on the driveway worms yesterday !!   It seemed surreal to see 60 degrees on the thermometer after last years December to remember...... Lol   Lookin forward to a couple egg nogs today !! Merry Christmas to all

I totally agree with everyone. I am looking at other states  thinking about driving 8 hours to ice fish?
