I don't use it...but I know a few HARD core ice fisherman that do. It has nothing to do with cost, but preference for the characteristics of the thread??
Post this question in the Indiana section and you might get a lot of responses. Although they can be tight lipped about it...lol

I guess I was looking for replies from anglers who actually use or have used it. I can go buy fishing line any day. But figured I'd try something new. Nothing wrong with me just exploring option's.
this thread is totally unacceptable because I have never seen one on the topic before. Get with the program please and only start vex/Marcum, graph/flasher, flip/hub type threads from now on because Lord knows we have far too few of them. ;D

Probably wont ever use sewing thread however I do use beads from Walmart's craft department for making lindy rigs and such. Way less expensive and way more colors to choose from. Let us know how it turns out.

I tried it once, but the sewing machine was so dang heavy.
