Another Semi-Beginner Question

This has probably been talked about ad nauseam on here so I apologize. The rule is 5 lines in the water (most places, I know it's a 2 limit on some as well). I just want to confirm that this is 5 lines meaning, 5 traps per person or 4 traps + 1 jigging hole, not 5 traps + 1 jigging hole in addition......I've heard both so just wanted to confirm. It is 5 lines not 5 traps correct.... Or am I wrong?
