Recommendation for Ice Fishing Lodges
« on: Dec 19, 2014, 10:39 PM »
Has anybody stayed in an ice fishing lodge recently, that they would recommend.

First and foremost, would like a place where there is a lot of action to keep the kids busy. Then, looking for a nice on ice huts from an outfitter that provides great service.

If you have stayed at a place that you would recommend, please post here with the name and the reason why you would recommend them. If you have a number or website, that would be appreciated as well.

hi there my buddie and I stayed in a sleeper hut from mitchells on lake simcoe for the weekend it was awesome the perch were a non stop bite all day long we ended up with 47 eaters 20 some were 2/3 lbs jumbos. the hut was great clean and supper warm once the hut was warmed up we never turn the heater past low. all the bait u need is supplied we had 2 5gal pails that where 3 quarters full and they checked our bait supply twice a day. the operator guys were great friendly and full of info.they transport you and your kids out to the huts in a big yellow snowtrax  buggie that was cool. there is a bunch of outfitters on simcoe I would suggest you check them  out mitchells was the cheapest for what we wanted and we were not disappointed at all. hope this helps you out, I would go back there anytime the perch bite was awesome great for the kids.
be safe out there, and tight lines to all!
