I have only been ice fishing for two years, I just went after walleye this year, my first walleye is a monster, lol!

I think he hit that out of desperation knowing that you would haul him up. That way he eluded becoming lunch to the lunker that was chasing him!

At least you got a "first". Now you can focus on the pigs!
