i am a member of Lee Center Rod & Gun Club, we will be hosting a ice fishing derby on lake delta in Feb. The final date has not been set, There will be a $10.00 entrance fee, and cash payouts to adults, and fishing/camping gear prizes for the kids divisions. I was just wondering if there is any IceShanty members who like like to take place in it to get a estimate of how many people will be in it....Thanks in advance

I am in if it is after Jan 18th. And much like others, if it isnt on a day that I already have a derby scheduled.

If you can dodge the Sandy pond, Sodus bay, and the bps Owasco's derby/tourney's I'm in. P.S. there is still one weekend I'm not in a derby.

What fish species will be targeted for the derby? You can count me in if perch and walleyes are in the mix. I don't fish for the northerns although i know there are some good ones in there along with some decent pikeral. Need some of the details.

valentines weekend is good!the last weekend of january is sacandagas walleye challenge.dont do it then 1500 can sign up 1000 will actually fish (and a few will cheat).

rocky- perch and walleye are both in the derby, along with northerns, but theres also alot of crappie, bass (smallmouth, largemouth, rockbass)tiger muskey and pickerel. prizes for adult classes go by number of entries, but as of now it looks like a good turnout

could anyone give me some info on where to get on the ice at delta. Have drove by many times but never fished it. Always wanted to try it

It's usually easiest to get on at the shore line

Actually there is easy access and parking at the State Park. I'll be there if I'm not working. probably with 3 or 4 others.

I'll talk to the guys see if they want to go. They dropped the water level way down this year.I work at the park and when we were done in Nov there was hardly any water in the backset. Keep us updated on the derby.
