« on: Nov 27, 2014, 08:29 PM »
found a good looking early ice spot on the fish and game site, Gile pond sutton. very small shallow body of water but looks like it freezes quickly. is it worth it to drive 1.5 hours to from portsmouth ???. thanks in advance.

I used to work with a guy who fished there all the time. He likes the place. I'd give it a try. I'm not one to fish for the warm water species but I heard it was full of bass, pickerel, perch...

I fished it a number of times and it does freeze pretty early..for years it was my first stop..however the place is loaded with pickerel...I mean loaded and very few quality bass...but if you like action that is the place...I have seen all 12 traps up at once and went through 10 dozen before noon with pickerel boy ...fun little place...gets the itch off I guess
when chuck norris played golf for money, chuck marked down a hole in zero every time, the golf pro said, "chuck: you can't score zero on a hole." Chuck norris turned towards the man and said, "I'm chuck norris, the man proceeded to pour gas over his body and set himself on fire because that would be less painful than getting roundhouse kicked by chuck norris....chuck norris roundhouse kicked him in the face anyways

I'm pretty sure they're talking about different ponds even though they sound like they'll fish the same lol...
