Can't wait too much longer

Got the itch and can't wait to scratch it on the ice.  Got the gear down and all I need to do is put new line on the reels.  Fired up the auger tonight to make sure it was gonna start easily.  All we need is the ice.  The upcoming forecast should really help prep the lakes for the ice.  Can't wait to see everyone out on the ice.  Nez

I'm with ya!  I got a bunch of new toys and it's killing me not being able to use them.  The last report I had from customers, had the water temperatures at 48 degrees on the Corps lakes.  Hills Creek usually cools down a little faster.  A week of this weather should really help drop temperatures down to the 30's!

Broke my ice checker at the end of last season.  I better get busy making a new one!  It's coming

This morning while driving to work I looked down at the dash and my digital readout said "ice possible", and I smiled .

My itch is getting worse by the day and after seeing a few smaller ponds iced over it's really getting bad.

The weather man says we won't be above freezing for the next 4 days here in Wellsboro.  Let's hope he's right!  I might do some early scouting tomorrow to see how Hills Creek is coming along.

Think cold thoughts.  We're getting closer.  Let's hope the wind doesn't pick up any too!

Got a foot of snow here in nw pa, there is ice starting on my home lake in Crawford Co, it hasn't been above freezing in 5 days now!!!!!  Bring it on!
