Watch your weight. Big Green often has much thinner ice than any other Wisconsin lake. If you build a monstrosity you might never get it on that lake, and then you'll be stuck parking it on the dead sea of Puckaway.
6 people is not impossible just plan what is used in construction for weight reduction... like luan versus 3/4 inch ply wood... stuff like that.. also here is a good post of a wood burning stove area maybe read the post and see what you think? the other link is of a wood burning stove i seen a few made from old steel ammo cans too. but any ways this gives a smaller options on wood burners... also are those benches for storage or sleeping? or just seating? from observation those pillars at the end of the bench are taking up room if you made the bench end to end of the room you may fit the 6 easier? more comfortably? look like your off to a great start though.. also for tables you could use a pontoon boat pedestal table ? if those pillar at the end of the bench is a table? just some stuff to help you out... http://www.koendersmfg.com/fishing.htmhttp://www.iceshanty.com/ice_fishing/index.php?topic=224732.msg2252016#msg2252016
Is wood burning better to have than propane? All I've read about wood burning stoves is that they are tough to regulate and can cook you out of the shanty. Plus you have downtime for it to heat up. If I do go down this route I may make a recess for the stove to stick out without taking up floorspace. The benches are for seating, sleeping, and storage. This isn't going to be a sleeper shed since I'd rather be in my bed, but for naps I planned on making them 2' wide and 6.5' long. The benches fold up and there will be storage underneath the seating. When I was designing this in sketchup I saw that there would be limited places to put belongings, drinks, etc. I figured having those pillars/tables would be a good option, but maybe a simple fold down shelf would do the trick. I was also thinking about making a fold down table that would lock against the back wall of the shanty and could be lowered to provide a 3' table between the seats. However, this would cover up any window/stove options.
