wec, that is a very good laker, congrats man! Also, you as an April 13 entry seem to stand a good chance to be the latest date for NY. Let's see if other posts come in with later dates, but as of right now you are the man that went deepest into April. This topic is getting very interesting now. Let's see who, if anyone can top Mr. wec.

APRIL 13, going once, going twice ...............

Thanks Warrior, last year it was April 14th, and the latest was April 18th 4-5 years ago.  Could of gone out yesterday but work got in the way.  After the warm temps yesterday and heavy rains last night and this morning, I think it's done.  Only  hope is for this little bit of cold and snow sticks around a couple more day's than forecast.

My last day was April 13 as well. We went to Fourth Lake, had a good 12 inches of solid clear ice with 3 inches of rotten ice on top and 2-3 inches of wet slush on top of that.
4 of us caught 20+ perch but had no other species biting. There was much more water around the edges when we left than there was when we got there.
Cleaning and putting away the ice gear this week.

akavidar, the perch i was catching (the males anyway) were blowing there sperm when i put them back in the hole.  Sometimes it looked like i was fishing in milk.  Did you see any of the same?  Just trying to compare spawning times to different bodies of water in different parts of the state.

I didn't see that, but the females were right full of eggs.
