Dropping off my wee one at daycare and hitting this lake today. Will report my findings. Anyone is welcome to join me. Just going to jig today. Don't feel like going bait shopping.
My mission is goin' fishin'.

Brutal cold and windy this morning, but I did manage to get in 3 hours of fishing.  Thanks to "yesterday's fisherman" who drilled all those 10" holes in the spots I had pre-selected to fish from the depth chart.  I used my 6" manual auger right in the middle of those holes to great effect - 1.5" is only a few turns.

First hole, first drop of the line, 4 fow...whump...keeper perch.  Also the last bite of the morning.  Total catch, one perch sandwich worth of fish.

For what it's worth, I did scout around and found some water up to 14 feet deep in a few spots and saw lots of life on the graph.  Lake looks to be healthy and it wouldn't surprise me if some lunker largemouth came out of there from time to time.  I would go back in the early spring to try some prespawn fishing.

Cheers.

cap im from db as well

I always forget which is mamanasco and peirppont (excuse my fail spelling)

The lake that has houses straight across from the launch / the rockwall - we did well there all over the lake PLENTY of flags, 1 fish jigged out of the 3 times we went.
We found week spots one of the days we went, there was decent size hole enough for a small adult teen or child to fall though over near the wall

We also went to the other, the one with the two small islands right out from the launch, we caught some 2 and 3 pound lmb
Next time you go to cwood let me know how many fish you didnt catch.

Hey PHS.
You were on Pierpont. There is a spring over where you were fishing. Always opens up over there. There is also a spring between the island and the western shore to watch out for.  Surprised that there was a spot in Mamanasco with 14' of water. There's big bass in both lakes but more of them in Mamanasco. Good Crappie in both as well if you can locate them.

Did a couple hours jigging there today. LMB, YP, CR, BG.  Nothing big.  12" of ice with no break up except for the spring and the feeder streams.
My mission is goin' fishin'.
