anyone own a john deere 4x4 atv (four wheeler)

I have a chance to buy a john deere 4x4 for what I believe is a good deal.  I will be using it primarily for plowing driveway and ice fishing does anyone have one and would you recommend it.

I checked one out about 4 months ago, purely out of curiosity. Seemed to be a very well built machine. Can't even remember which model I looked at, but I'm pretty sure it was equipped with a diesel. Sorry, not much help to ya. Go to their website to get the specifics & check out the online reviews. Heck, see if they have their own forum & do a little digging there as well. If it's a step-thru, that'll be a Bombardier Traxtor Maxx, excellent durable machine.

yes I have one. love it plows well. had it for 3 years trying to make a hitch to pull my ice fishing flipover

A friend owned a construction company and loved Gators. Tough machine according to him.

My farmer buddy sold his Polaris Ranger and bought 2 of them for the farm after using a friend of his while the Polaris was in the shop... Nothing runs like a Deer...

Thanks. I buying the Deere next week he paid 9000 and I am buying for 5000.  It has 30 hours on it.  It also has a slow plow not a scratch on it anywhere.  His brother gave him a tractor with a front bucket so he never used the 4x4 much.   Thanks for the info.
