catawba ice guide

I would like to thank the ice guide who pointed us  in the right direction last Fri morn. We were first there.at park and you told u as witch way to go . You had the wheeler with the tracks on It.  Thanks again for our first Erie experience.

I'm interested in getting out on the ice off Catawba, did you have a sled or did you walk out? Where did you park?
I'm from N.E. Ohio and looking for a little info before making the drive, don't wanna get there and find out have to walk forever...thanks

We had a wheeler.  Went out 2-3.6 miles good parking if get early. Herd good fishing 3/4 mile out.but only herd that. Saw guys walk out two miles. (Hard walk)  hire ice guide probably worth it

Thanks for the quick reply, never fished the hard water around the islands, usually go north to lake Simcoe, think your idea for a guide is wise suggestion...thanks

Does anyone know who's wheeler with tracks that was. Ther was hundreds of people out but only one with tracks on it and he was a guide with several frabil r shanties out ther
