i   dont   understand why some people have   to   chop 3foot holes  in the ice did they ever think someone could fall in.  maybe snow falls on the ice that night and the next day a little kid might be walking  along you get the picture that thing you have above your shoulder is more than a hat rack  >:(

There should be a law against that... Although it would be hard to track down the suspect

You can say that again. I was on Little Round Top yesterday and saw the aftermath of what was probably the weekend warriors. Bums had a 3'x3' hole chopped. Right on the ice next to that was remnants of a big fire, trash, and fish skeletons tossed all about.

They're the ones who ruin it for all of us.
Marking anything?

Could be totally wrong here and I'm not defending the IDIOTS that ARE out there... but I just read that DEM stocked Round Top not too long ago and last year that's how they cut the holes to put the trout in. Maybe that was them. And shame on 'em if it was. Just saying.

Wareagle, pond was stocked 2 weeks ago with some real nice brookies. The mess I was referring to occured over the weekend and was perpetrated by disrespectful turds. When DEM stocked they did so in the small portion of open water that was there at the time.

Trust me I've seen first hand the work of the idiots out there. Maybe it was just wishful thinking on my part. I clean up more crap off the ice that I could bring another sled just for that.

I heard a while ago that anything bigger than 12 inches was against the law, but that was in MA.
Love those slab crappie, jumbo perch, and always love those bull sunfish. A.F.& A.M.
