Tip Up transport
« on: Dec 18, 2005, 11:51 AM »
 ???
Anybody ever try the HT Rod Locker for storing/transporting Nor'Easter or Heritage Laker type tipups?
Looks like it would hold 3-4 tip ups of those tip ups - anybody know the rod locker dimensions?
I'm getting a small Otter sled for Christmas and I'm trying to organize this open type sled for transporting my power auger, tip ups and bait bucket.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Jeff

P.S. How does the HT compare to the Croxton Pond rod & gear bags?

I made a sort of tube sock from old material to put my tipups in.  They just slide in one end and are tangle free in my sled.

What may work for you like it does for myself is an old piece of plastic pipe with a screw on cap at one end and a plug at the other . I use this method and you can even use a bungee cord over it and not crush anything .
