Sure is nice not having to deal w heat, humidity, mosquitos, crime, traffic jams, and gangstas walking around w their under wear showing. Gotta Love Iowa!!! Cold weather keeping the riff raff out!!!!

Too many people are whining about the cold and Winter...."wish it was Spring"....."only so many days until Spring"

Not me, this is the best time of the year. No bugs, no heat...no pollen so i can actually breathe through my nose on a regular basis

I'm hoping that little rodent sees his shadow!!!!

Lol; me too. I like the way u think, although I have no allergies. I hate heat and humidity though. People look at me like I'm nuts when I tell them I love this cold weather.

My friends and I def do! We have all stated that if we had to give up one or the other...we'd give up the open water. To quote tom gruenwald,"nothing beats ice fishing...nothing!!!!!!!

I went to Badger Creek in Madison Co for a couple of hours....man the ice was making noise. Who would have thought that late February we would still be making ice!!!!

On my own pond the level came up probably a good foot since the last semi thaw ~Feb 8th IIRC. The water that went on top of the existing ice is solid too, I think we are well over 20 inches in Madison County.
