Looking at heading to Summit tomorrow. Any info on ice conditions would be appreciated. Is it still safe for an ATV?

I was out there yesterday (Saturday).  Ice was at least 9in everywhere I fished on the lake, solid too.  Good luck finding the fish, they avoided us all day.

what is up with summit!  Use to be a hell of a lake, great gills and crappie.. Now you cant even mark a fish!

Could it be another" Dead Sea!!"

Daryl,

I went through the Netting on the various lakes and didnt see summit as having any Crappie in it.. Is that the fact or just that they never netted any during the survey!?

They did not target crappies in the sampling at Summit this year; does not mean they are not in there, we just did not sample for them this year.

You can find some more information here, http://www.outdoornebraska.ne.gov/Fishing/programs/sampling/2012/2012%20NE%20Flood%20Control%20Res%20web%20report.pdf.

Let me know if you have any other questions I can help with,
