lake simcoe vacation advise lodging bars huts

I hope to do 3 -4 days ar simcoe  ( or if you have a better idea???).   ive surfed the web And have hit most of the sites for huts and such.  i would like to target pike   with perch to keep me busy  but not my prime focus    hope to find lake frint accomadations with hut rentals   maybe even a bar or restaurant there or in walking distance    comming frim upstate ny so  want to make the most of it    any suggestions?  thanks for the help   ps   looking for the same in southern quebec   if you know anything there    chef

Cooks Bay is for you.. Ice Cabins of Gilford Look them up they can get you onto pike if you ask..  They also run rooms beside the lake nothing fancy and on  Ice Sleepers with kitchens... No idea how booked they are. The Owners name is Peter..  Google CBFB you will find Cooks Bay Fishing Board and read all about it..  Very Few Target Pike and they are around and some Monsters in this lake..  Lots of Perch Mostly small that is why the Pike are doing well I guess.

I would look into the beaverton area Floyd Hales comes to mind,this is a bigger town and has more to do, when not fishing.

 You have a point ..  Gilford is not exactly a hot spot..
