where to go? looking for some help
« on: Jan 30, 2015, 07:59 AM »
due to work schedule, unable to do any driving around to check out places to go on sunday morning. I have to work on Saturday. looking for a place on the north shore where I can park and get out onto the ice. putnamville gets plowed in and no place to park. the places I usually fish all get plowed in. with this much snow, I won't be able to drive thru the snow banks.
any help would be appreciated. thanks, guys.

I just had some success at Buchanan Bridge in Lynn.  It's a small body of water but there are bass and darts in there. There was parking along the road and a few fisherman have made a decent path to the water.  I'm not sure if you're looking for bigger water but I was able to fish it yesterday.

Usually Putnamville gets plowed but it might not be at the top of the list quite yet after 30". It was plowed the other day with the few inches we got. I might go snow shoeing up there with the dog tomorrow just to see the conditions. Last week there was only about 8" of ice with the 4/6" of snow.

That little parking lot at StileA may be plowed out as well as the little turnaround at Stevens.... You may be able to get on Flax

We went up to the spillway at Putnamville just to see. A few thousand feet higher I would think I was atop MT Washington!!. No parking there today.
