Sale on Extreme Weather Clothing

I have owned and used the big names - and I personally don't like the restrictiveness of the other suits out there.  The idi gear suit I bought last season was too thin for my liking - felt the cold too easily.   Last season I tested the IDI in a YMCA pool (yes it floated me) and then I went outside and felt like I was going to freeze to death.  Which prompted a new search.

triple w dot aerisinside dot com  to view and consider what I found to be among the best gear out there for outdoor use.

These are mid-layer garments from Aeris - Aeris provides clothing to the Oil & Gas Industry for both land and ocean platform.  Their products have been tested in Prudhoe Alaska and they are reportedly testing with the coast guard and military as well.  They are wind proof and water resistant

The jacket and pants are on sale (VERY limited time)for $100 each plus the mittens are on sale for $25 and balaclava for $40   Normal price: $250 ea. pants, jacket + $100 balaclava + $50 mittens

This is what I bought / use / LOVE   1/2 foam interior that allows you to easily move around and will pop you up out of the water like a cork and when you get out of the water - depsite being soaking wet - you will return to a warm state within 1 minute - I KID YOU NOT --> see the videos below

Remember - Moisture, by law, moves away from heat  - as long as outside temp is colder than body temp then moisture will naturally migrate away

If/when you speak to Aeris let them know Steven / NEVERUMINDA from ice shanty referred you

either click on their video on their web page link above to watch it or use this direct link

Negative Ten windchill, 20-25MPH winds, 9000' elevation in Utah - Jumped in Water w/this clothing line on  Within 45 seconds "victim" stated he was feeling warm and within 2 minutes even his hands and toes are warm

Here's a Oil Rig worker in Canada – testing the equipment while dry and then they turn 2x hoses on him, soak him to the bone, and send him back outside ( absolutely soaked ) to clim the rib and work

Reportedly, built with owner's son in mind who was working North Dakota Oil Fields and could not tolerate the winter weather and extreme clothing was too restrictive to wear and accomplish the job

Their target market is oil and gas industry for N.D., Canada, Alaska, Arctic   The end users typically have a nylon or polyester (No spandex or Lycra laced under garments– they pull heat away from the body), the Aeris middle layer, and depending on environment, coveralls as an outer layer.  They do also sell a FR / Fire Retardant version as well which is mandatory for some Oil & Gas site jobs

Their standard line or "Ozone" product line Has a 100 degree range of comfort   Negative 35 thru 65 F – it is worn as a middle layer   Whether your body is wet or dry, you will be warm with this on provided the outside temp is colder than your body temp. Yes, you will be uncomfortable if you're wet, but the product will allow you to regulate your body temp regardless of moisture on you

Outer is 100% micro taffeta material, Interior (Ozone Product covers Negative 35 thru 65F) is 1/2 inch open cell foam (Their Arctic product is rated to negative 50 thru 40 F - it's 1" foam & a bit more restrictive to wear)

Always wear a nylon or polyester under layer of clothing beneath these products  plus an outer layer is helpful as well to allow the middle layer to work optimally-  never use gore-tex as an outer layer
Gore-tex is reportedly only 18% breathable,  Aeris Product is 98% breathable

Aeris' owner, from experience in Alaska, views the Balaclava as an essential "Must Have" item. He has found that managing the head temp has been really critical. They are at 9,000 elev in Utah and he's an avid hunter and ice fisherman and uses his own products regularly.
