What is it?
Hell, if I'd jumped on all the dames I'm supposed to have jumped on, I'd have had no time to go fishing.

If this is what he means:

The Ibycus Topo map project is an attempt to create an alternative map source for Garmin GPS receivers using publically available and distributable data. The government makes available all kinds of map data, but generally that map data isn't in a format that you can conveniently load on to a GPS receiver and take with you in the field

Buddy runs it on his laptop hunting. Some missing data but the grids seem to be pretty accurate.

Good fishing!

I pulled down a copy of Ibycus 4.0 just before Christmas.  I haven't had much of a chance to play with it yet, nor figure out if it needs any conversion from its current form to work on my Garmin. I can definitely put a copy of it on DVD for you though.
I have no idea what I'm doing.

If you have an iPhone, Topographic Maps Canada is a great app. It's created by David Crawshay. It shows trails and everything. You can mark points, measure distances, download any map very easily, and shows your position if you are within cell range I believe. The only thing it doesn't do is make a trail of breadcrumbs showing your path. If you want to see what the terrain looks like in real life, it will mark a point and open up google earth to that position. It's by far my favorite app that I have and it's free.
