Coventry derby with the kids

Took the kids to Coventry today fished 745 to 1130 we caught 2 eyes no more than 14 inches. It was also my first ever walleye. Total catch was the 2 eyes and 3 perch. And while picking up we had 3 hooks that were shinerless! A good day!

Beautiful specimen... now tell how to go grow to proper size! Good to see you yesterday. We will have to do it again in a couple weeks. My next weekend is booked up for ice trips already.

That lake sure sounds like the walleye are doing well in there. Not too many keepers I hear, but that'll change in a year or two.

yes it was we had a good time but I was unaware that we could measure a walleye if t was short so my 7 year old son who got the 14 inch eye could have won with it but we put it back in because of the size. we even had a live well to take it up in with water to keep it live if I knew. that was the only flag I pulled the kids did the others they just were not out yet when it went up. I was setting up for them and they were signing up inside
