Frye Lake

Thinking of trying Frye Lake any reports?

Frye is dang slow, lots of moss, might be getting fished out,  sound familiar?

Fished there yesterday. Covered a lot of ice. It was pretty slow. Caught some perch and that was about it. I agree in that it is getting over fished.

My friend called me, he was at frye today, didn't catch a thing. He then went to blue lake and caught limit of 10 to 12" perch in two hours

Any reports from Frye? I heard the fishing picked up a little bit. Thinking might have to make a trip up there Friday and find out.

A buddy went out Saturday while I was at merritt, said he didnt even see a fish in 4 hours

Three of us went Sunday and caught a few perch early and then just about one every hour or so after that. We ended up with 16 fish total for all day. Several other guys said they only caught around six fish each.

Must be kind of hit and miss then. I talked to a guy that was there last Saturday and limited out in an hour on perch and caught some nice crappie, and another guy was there last Tuesday and limited out. So I might be better of going to blue Friday?
