Went down to F&G lst week to renew a license and went upstair to directors office to donate the 1903 law book to F&G Dept=director wasn't in so secretary said she will make sure he gets it and "accept the gift" at the next commissioners monthly meeting. She said wow that is in like new shape/way better then some of the old ones they have=i said its like only my hands have ever touched it/Very few others anyway=I bought the book quite a few years ago at a flea market. Now it will hopefully be shown in their display cases with other memorbelia at the concord office.

Secretary thanked me and gave me a calendar and F&G hat. Cool
Very generous, Turk.
Great find and then donation for you.

Does anyone know if the downloadable Navionics Charts are as good or better than that '66 map?

NB

I have the Navionics and it's definitely more detailed, but have found it to be less than accurate as far as the GPS and depths. For instance, don't make the mistake I made originally and just used it to find what I thought was 45' of water and then set up your hub shanty, the heater, the chairs, etc. only to finally drill a hole and see you are in 14' of water. I now use it somewhat and drill a hole before setting up camp to check my depth.
Quote- fishslap: I use a variety:  whistlin' bungholes, spleen splitters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker don'ts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistlin' kitty chaser

just wondering what your exgrandfather's name was..
reading those old regulations makes one realize how much we have lost Or how much in some cases have been taken away.  The good old days are gone... Only the future is ahead of us..
