will this one day of warm wheather hurt the ice

I fished last weekend both days at rock creek ice was 6.5 inches just  wandering if todays temp will hurt it at all.

Overnight lows should stay in the right place to keep it decent. Will definitely melt the snow off the ice.

no...........day isn't long enough at that temp.......going to go right back into some cold stuff thursday/friday

On fire for us but I'm in hospital having a baby but planning on fishing in desmoines on Friday because its close to the hospital

It was very sloppy today and no one was out on it.  At the SE boat ramp it may have had enough ice but passed on it and went to Krumm Lake around the corner which looked better and had 8" of good ice.  1 blue gill was all that was caught though.

I'm glad for the warm day. I think it will actually help make ice by melting some of the snow cover. One day of warm temps won't hurt safe ice. It will definitely be making noise tomorrow though as it tightens up!

Fished a 10 acre pond today.  It had 4" of ice last week, and 5-6" today.  Little bit of warmth won't hurt with all the cold nights we're having.
