Gun Lake is not worth the drive for fishing. It sucks!!

I'm with you stabin cabin. I've yet to have a good day on that lake or in them channels. Usually go there first of season just to get on the ice and itch the itch to fish.

Pulled 10 walleye and countless pike over 24" out of there last year. I have great luck there but if you boys wanna leave all the fish there for me, I'll let ya haha

Im with stabin cabin. Lived in the shelbyville area 27 years. taken literally over a thousand trips to gun lake and the chanels. dont waist your time.
same for duck hunting. Use to be a great lake but died over the past 10 years.

i don't bother with gun lake either.good pike on tipups or spearing but i haven't stepped on it in over 8 years.i also don't fish it in the summer because its to crowded with drunken boaters.ill go elsewhere for some peace and quite.

I have a friend that does good on crappie there in the spring but thats about all.

they shut down the swimming in the park way to many times in the summer from E-COIL for me to wast time with any fish from that lake. way over crowded for me.

I've never had good luck on the channels. Just a place to go to wet my whistle while I wait for good ice on the other lakes!
