 Had the wife with me yesterday as "I" checked out some shelters at Cabelas in Lincoln. This time last year she was a "No way you will ever get me to go out on the ice," kinda girl. After 6+ years tho, I finally got her out there. And now, I ain't gonna lie, it was kinda sexy seeing her get so involved in deciding which shelter would serve US best. She was looking at everything, seats, height, fishable area, weight and price. After deciding, she went to "Look" at rod and reel combos. She ended up walking out with a new rod & reel, some Fiska jigs and 4 jars of various Gulp baits.

 We decided that, since we can't find the new Frabil Fishouflage shelters anywhere, we will go with the new Eskimo FishMO shelter Or the Clam Tundra (and add a couple of comfy seats onto the standard padded bench seats.)

 We'll make the purchase in a couple of weeks after Christmas shopping.

Thats awesome! My wife was the same way..she would only go if it was 35 and sunny with no wind lol. Then last year i talked her into going with me when it around 5 and windy. After she was settled in the warm shanty and catching fish i couldnt get her off the ice:) now she knows I can make it fun and comfortable no matter how cold it is.

Hey guys I have been checking this site out for a couple days and just registered wish I knew this wash here before now!!!! But this is for TOMHUSKER wish I would of seen your post earlier that you were looking for a FRABILL FISHOUFLAGE SHELTER cause I would of told you to go to frabill.com and order direct I just purchased to go with the shapell rover I have a knew frabill thermal predator for 799 when cabelas and bass pro sell them for quite a bit more the fishouflage started at 599 to 799 depends on what model...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Infact just the frabill  predator at cabelas.com is $870 and that's not the insulated thermal version which is a couple hundred more and its the same with otter clam and most I have checked int so shop around look at these shelter at cabelas or wherever but buy direct from there website I also save a ton on my lowrance hand held gps buying direct from lowrance
