Nothing through the ice worthy of bragging aobut, but I did get an 8lb largie on the fly a few years ago.

a perpetual series of occasions for hope.

6.8# 23.5 Largey last February.. I was jigging thru a 4 inch hole for perch and hooked on to that big bass finally got it to the hole 5-7 minutes later.. Had my uncle come over and he lipped te bass with my scooping spoon while I drilled a hole right beside my other 4 inch hole.. Still barely fit through!!

4.5 is a good size smallie!!  I guess I've just barely broke into the 5lb class with a large mouth thru the ice (I don't fish for them during the spring/summer)

Tip Up !!!

I caught my personal best smallmouth last year ice fishing, it was 4lbs. my best largemouth was pushing 4lbs as well but im hoping this summer to break the 7-8lb mark.(yeah, right...) Everyone needs a goal, right? ::)

Here's a video of my personal best (not through the ice).  I did not have my scale, but I think it's safe to put this bass in the 6+ pound range?

5.2 pounds large mouth on 3 pound test.Took about 8 minutes to tire her out. The first time she came  up the hole it was tail first. When I grabbed her tail she shot back down like a rocket. Took some time to get her back to the hole head first. Was a B-L-A-S-T.

PB thru the ice; LM 8.3lbs (got a state pin for it). Open water LM Over 11 lbs, it bottomed out the scale (10lb scale) and broke it. I kept the 8.3 LM and that was the last "Trophy" that I killed, years later when I nailed that monster, I did not want to kill it and I had a 3.5 mile walk out of Quabbin, so I did not even want to carry it that far!
