Sloppy.  Has anyone found any ice with less than a foot of snow on it.

I found one pond up in Cumberland and it has only 3-6 inches of snow on it in most spots. It looks frozen over, but I haven't checked the ice yet. It's small and has bass perch bluegill catfish some eels and every once in a while someone pulls a pike out of there

Went by lip pits again today and its a lot of slush but I bet when it freezes next week there might be a good foot of ice with all of that slush on top

There are plenty of fishable ponds out there. You just can't mind getting wet socks.

Just checked the 10 day forecast and its supposed to be cold for the weekend and 44 on Tuesday then in the low to mid 30s til the next week. Lets cross our fingers for more safe ice. By the way, where are there safe ponds around here? Any body know?
