so went to big bay today.... soda bottles and propane tanks everywhere. cmon how difficult is it to pick up after yourself! i understand maybe a fly-away tissue or something but when you leave a propane tank thats a little ridiculous. you brought it you take it off. bet i saw 4 or 5 of them some frozen upsidedown in the ice some laying on the ice. trashy trashy

Just like people who smoke in a car and insted of using ashtray in car,they throw their butts everywhere.It's called being responsible for your actions,which many of us aren't,throw it on the ice and someone else will pick it up or it will sink when ice melts.Very lazy and irresponsible!

I can't even begin to tell you how many I have picked up over the years.

These are the same fools that poach than their limit, mishandle fish, and just gernally suck all the way around.

problem with venting
is the only people reading and listening are those that care and generally dont litter.
what can we do? continue keeping it clean as we do,
see someone else litter or leave something behind, point it out , dont just walk away shaking your ahead, a simple excuse me sir you dropped that, or sir you left some stuff behind,
also pick up others trash, try to leave a spot cleaner than when you got there

Big Bay is probably one of the worst spots when it comes to trash, both the people and the garbage left behind.

it just blew my mind, couldnt believe it. i understand some trash blows from peoples garbage onto the lakes so i know everything i see isnt all fisherman.. but the vast majority is. will make a point to bring an extra pail and do some picking up next time. grabbed a few things most were frozen part way into the ice so guess not much that can be done with that. i remember being a kid and leaving a pepsi can by the river we were fishing a good half mile from the truck and my father making me walk back and get it and making me pick up others trash that was there as well. learned from that. always take my stuff back out with me.

The people that leave the stuff aren't going to read your post and stop they don't care don't you get it. I hate it to and it is sad and yes it hurts our sport but they don't care its not like they are going to stop because of a post on here!

  Seen the exact same thing out on messanger shoals last year probably the same pig. The only way to stop it is to teach them young. the  doing it now won't change, but I still like telling them off  . My pet peeve is fishing line it's everywhere. I know it pees ya off when you get a tangled mess, but it's not the animal who's going to get wrapped up in it's fault.

Refill your 1 lb propane tanks.    Been doing it for years.  Bring a bag with and pick up after yourself AND OTHERS!

go out deep where one of the cities have been after a weekend OMG, propane tanks , coffee cups, beer bottles, broken lawn chairs and just plain trash , well they don't have to worry about it this year just the east and west ends

There is a spot I fish for crappies in the spring in Fulton, there is a pile of propane tanks about 3 feet high, there must be 300 of them. It looks like a monument to the stupid really.

Always end up carrying out more than we bring, just because of some idiots.  It's worse in the spring for trout season in some of the states public access areas around here. No wonder people post their land up tight   
Too bad everyone couldn't think of the future generations of fisherman.
