New to Cumberland
« on: Dec 26, 2012, 12:51 AM »
Hey guys,

I'm moving down from the U.P. of Michigan on the 5th to start work in Cumberland and was looking for some info on places to fish or even some fishing partners.  Looking forward to meeting a bunch of new friends and having some fun!

You will be surrounded by good fishing waters. Get on wi dnr web site and print off lake maps, lots of choices within a few miles.

Cumberland is basically an island that is surrounded by Beaver dam lake. Really good fishing to be had on that lake and never leave town. Good luck with the job. Maybe we can find a weekend to get out and try a different lake.

I've always wanted to try Island lake.  They hold the North American Ice Tourney out there.

Been on Beaver Dam a few times.  Bite has been pretty slow for everybody it sounds like.  Really want to try for lakers on it but I forgot to bring some smelt down.
