Any Ice Near Lincoln
« on: Jan 30, 2013, 03:03 PM »
Is there any chance that by Friday afternoon/evening there will be fishable ice in or around Lincoln ? Its been below freezing for over 12 hours now, and with a high of 15 tomorrow. Is that enough time/cold weather to make 4 inches of ice ? I would be fine with bucket fishing, and I would fish small farm  ponds or a small lake like wild plum, But I'm not crazy about taking a dip in the lake.

Not sure how the ice is, but OKCableGuy and I went out on Redtail on the 4th and found a maximum depth of 7'.  You really want to walk that far in the snow?

Agreed! Will probably be awhile before the walk is worth it again. :(
