Hey there.  Been going out to kennebec for the last four years once a year. Springwood cottages is the place I stay are. The fishing is good.  Get alot of average Pike with the odd monster over ten plus. Get the odd eye. Perch and hearing too. Not much people on the lake and the scenery is awesome.

Been fishin there since I was a wee lad, east end of the lake near the crick mouth is where you gonna find the 15+ pound snot rockets...Beginning to end of march is best, north corner of the bay is real shallow and a good place to set up for the big lads. South side of the bay is where it starts to drop off you'll catch big walters and a pile of ling there too. That crick goes up to the lake I normally fish, I access Kennebec through private land my grandparents own so If you hear a bike commin you know who it is ;D

Thanks , Springwood is where we are staying as well. I would like to get into some ling ( burbott) any tips for that lake? Do they take you where you want to go or where they want to go , should  I bring an auger and a portable hut, or just go with them?  I have no problem staying out at night and I hear that is my best bet for Ling.  Do you want to have a good time , we have 8 crazy guys who love to fish and party, some more of one ,than the other, ride over on your bike and show me whats , what.

Well as far as tips go for ling, If you don't catch one its cause you ain't got a line in the water. I've never caught one on purpose but always do while jiggin or on still lines for walter...But yes right at dark, whether you got gads or tip ups for still lines your gonna be gettin awful busy! And for the rest of the night. Either on bottom or a foot off bottom with minnows they don't care either way, they're just hungry ;)

For pike Just get near the shore on the north side there not to hard to find, I've caught a couple 17 pounders there over the years, my uncle caught a 15 pound pickeral 5 or 6 years ago there too.

As far as springwood, all I can tell you bout them is they got a nice sign and a nice fish cleaning hut. Some of my grandparents friends from Michigan pay me to clean there sunfish, catties and pike for them in the summer time when they stay there.  I'm not sure how there operation works don't come out of the bush often to talk to folks.  I'd bring my own hut and auger for sure if I was you! The lake isn't very deep, the deepest place is bout 70 feet at the east end. Other then that 5-20' Is as deep as your gonna get.

If I see you guys out there I'll for sure come say hey, I'm sicker then a dog right now...Also startin to get cabin fever bein inside for 2 days!!! :o
