i haven't heard anything about dunmore yet this year, anybody know the conditions? also if anybody has any info on how and where to catch some smelt there that would be great.

We drove by yesterday. The entire lake had ice which surprised me, but it looked very sketchy. There were a few brave souls south of the island, fishing close to shore. Can't fish north of Sucker Brook until the trout opener anyway. I'd be surprised if the main lake carries it's ice through this warm spell. Maybe.
Ice fishing is a social activity that may occasionally be interrupted by the catching of fish.

checked ice on south end yesterday afternoon; measured anywhere from 4 to 8 inches... top 2 - 3 inches very soft and lots of water on top. There was a few guys out fishin and I saw tracks where someone drove out with a wheeler. There was one shanty out south of island, hope ice holds for him! Didn't check ice on north end,  it did not look worth checking, very sketchy looking!  Need cold weather...
