Lake Alvin SE So. Dak

Hey guys has anyone been out to Lake Alvin lately?  How is the ice and has any fish been biting?  The roomie and I and going out tomorrow morning to see what we can pull through the hole.  Any reports or tips for Alvin would be appreciated.

Ice is ok but watch for springs!  South side of the lake in about 16 ft. of water has been good to me. GOOD LUCK

what have you been catching? Went to the south side twice this weekend and pounded the small gills and a few small crappie. No keepers though.

Hills and crappie have to sort but found some nicer ones.  Gills up to 8" crappie up to 9"

Luke when you say south side your talking about the way south by Hwy 110?  Not trying to get your exact fishing spots out of ya just the area I've been out twice on the east side by the dock and havent even caught a cold.  Thanks for the help and hope the bite steps up here in the future.

I mispoke about the south side. Ive been parking in the 480th Ave access area. There will be a handicap dock at the bottom of the hill (thats how you know you are at the ride spot). Been fishing straight out from there.
