Anyone venture out today?

I almost pulled the trigger, had the truck loaded just had to get bait but 2" of black ice with 1-1 1/2" of white on top with a 46* sunny day made me back out  how much melt off do you think we get on a day like this? Oh well a little warm up and then some icy cold arctic air ought to be a blessing in disguise!

I was going to fish my secret spot today but i had to replace the drive shaft on my truck.

waiting to get out for the first time also but I agree some melting followed by the cold should help alot out....... at least im hoping praying it does

Woke up and it was COLD. Headed out fiahed till noon. Ice was great and hard as a rock when I left.

Yup. It will lose some ice this weekend but not all of it.

So far the highest its got was 28* in the Adirondacks, -5 below yesterday morning, 4 above this morning, making ice all week on Schroon

  i'd be real careful. 2 of my buddies went up there and the ice went from 5 inches to 1 inch in about 20 yards. that was off fowler road.was up there last nite and there was open water off the boat launch and i didn't see any tracks going out.
