pro tc and sight fishing...
« on: Nov 05, 2011, 07:23 AM »
I am trying to come up with some sort of mod for my pro tc when sight fishing and wondering if anybody has got a good solution.  I hate the quilt pattern reflection on the water when sight fishing...drive my eyes crazy as well as hard see anything.  About all i have came up with is using some tarp tape and covering the inside of fabric from the second pole(the one above the door) to the second rear pole (above the link door).  Basically just solid taping the entire roof.  I thought about taking the canvas off the sled and having a upholstry shop sew some sort of black out material on...really dont want to do that tho.  Also thought of velcroing a black out material to roof but not sure if will stay in place when flipping up and down plus keeping slack out of it may be difficult as well the velcro adhering to the canvas.  Any great ideas out there?

I know this is as old as the hills but if your haven't found a solution or anyone else is struggling with this I use a piece of runner for hallways and just cut a hole in it. Blacks out everything. I have a frabill so prolly the black helps verses the quilt but just a thought.

Could dye it black but that would turn both inside and out black as there is no way to just dye one side of the cloth.

I was on a bus and just happened to be sitting on a news paper. This guy came up and asked. "Are you reading that ?"
I said  yes, stood up, turned the page and sat back down.
