Alaskan Outing

Had one of my coworkers and his kids at the cabin last weekend, we rented a state shack on Birch Lake to fish from. Thought I'd post a few pictures of a trip the kids and the adults will remember for a long time to come. They both caught fish silvers, rainbows and char. Then we enjoyed a fire on the ice Saturday night complete with samores. No problem getting them to sleep that night!

Do the leaves of trees stay greener, in the autumn, does the colour of the sun, turn crimson white? Does a shadow come between us, in the winter?

Nice pics. How thick is the ice up there?

AK Dreams the ice is about 3', we've had a good snow cover this year so its not as thick as years past. Should be fishing up till 1st week of May.
