Do you find pushing better than pulling.?   This is what I pull.  Never thought of pushing.

Just put skis on it. Should slide like a hot knife on butter. This is how I did it.

How much easier is it to pull with skies on it as apposed to just the sled?

I had thought of rigging mine up similar to that but wasn't sure i was worth the effort.

Skis are way easier!  I love the push bar though...what's it made of and is it fairly sturdy?  Ideally that is the rig I would love to push out onto the ice?  I even have the same auger!

Pushing is easy when the snow is light or packed,  when I was in the military (30 years) our winter toboggans had a push bar one man pushed and two pulled,   the bar was made from an old dolly and two pieces of pipe.  If you make one (sled) from scratch I might suggest leaving the skis hang out in back a foot or so.  that was on ice you can rest one foot and push with the other like a dog sled. An old lawnmower handle should work too.

Hey sig, can u remove the height of the push bar on your sled. ?   I need my profile low so it can fit into the car for road trips. FT

Yeah its east to take down if you look you can see that the top part fits into the two chrome pipes,  It just lifts out.
