Anywhere to icefish around Mile City Mt area?????

Attending college in mc this fall and would love to icefish while im there. Anyone know of any places around there to fish for perch or walleye?

It's not that far to Fort Peck ... at least in the Montana perspective of driving distances, that is
anyhow, Fort Peck is a PHENOMENAL fishery for Walleye, Pike, and Lake Trout

Yea go to ft peck all the time. Just looking for some day trips around mc. Vida mt. Up in northeastern part of the state!

Castle rock lake in colstrip produces some nice fish and its about an hour or so from miles city. I hear tell there's some monster pike and an occasional big walleye that comes out of that lake

The fishing usually pretty good up there as far as catching a lot?

I've never ice fished it but open water fishing that place is on fire. I've heard a lot of good things about ice fishing there I've just never made it in the winter
