Gravel Pit lake fishing
« on: Nov 25, 2012, 06:45 PM »
Fishing for the brook trout and rainbows in gravel pit lake can force the ice fisher to move locations and depths to get out of the lil pan friers to find them bigger guys that are caught every year there..

Theres footballs living in this clear water. We managed two bigguns and one that got off that felt bigger..

Took a pic of a clean, healthy brookie just before it was released back with all the others:

that one in the pic was at about 12 feet, the smaller brookies and rainbows were all around the 6-8 foot range. The other big one and the "one" that got away was at about 16 feet.
