Anyone from Illinois around ?

Why are the Illinois boards so barren? Seems like every other state has more.

My thoughts exactly! I thought there would be more activity but it seems to be the same whether it's hard water, soft water or any forum you frequent...

Anyway, I mostly fish the Fox Chain and pretty much just jig fish for Crappie, Striper, Channel Cat or whatever wants to entertain me. Usually fish Pistakee due to it's easier access. I have fished Long Lake but I don't know if there will be access to it this season.

There are a few in my area (Morrison) that I will pass on the ice and not even know they are iceshanty members. I'll see a post the next day and say "hey, I was there, too. Where were you fishing and at what time?". But I've never actually fished with a member. I usually fish alone, but it would be nice to fish with a partner. Although I think I have a partner in the making. My 8 year old son has been wanting to go with me this year.

hi ho hi ho we need ice so I can go this is what I hate boat is packed away and the long rods are striped ice gear is out and I am stuck dreaming and wishing need ice will travel

Oh yeah, I saw ice on several ponds along 80 this morning. I sold off all of my good stuff last year so I better start looking for a new vex and flip over shanty. Would be nice to have ice on Evergreen and Bloomington this year.
