humminbird 345c interference problems
« on: Mar 01, 2012, 12:14 PM »
So I have been in contact with humbird about this unit.   I have vex's as well as ice machines, and thought I would try another kind.  As I own a fishing lodge, I am changing my old grey depth finders to color- thats why I picked a graph.  Anyhow, I cannot get the humminbird to work well within any distance of any other unit.  Last night I was determined to get it figured out.  I was 38 yards away from an ice machine in 28 fow, and still had major interference problems- tried every option possible.  Anyone else with the 345c have the same problem- or did I get a lemon?

I have the Hummingbird 345c portable & have used it within 10-15 yards of a friend using the 570 portable with no interference at all.  The only issue I had was with the monitor mounting onto the base where the cables plug into the monitor.  The transducer cable came loose & was reading, something like 800ft when the depth was only 12ft.  After I figured that out, it's been smooth sailing ever since.
