MERRYMEETING LAKE

How's the fishing? I plan on fishing it hard the next couple of day's and harder this spring. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

merrymeeting can be a slow lake to fish......but it can be worth it....some very nice fish to be caught over there....in my opinion id use smelt thru the ice and be patient

fished a hump for lakers w/ a buddy last saturday.  fished for 9 hours.  got two flags - both salmon.

I fished it last saturday for a few hours in the morning and jigged up a 23" laker. But as stated above, the fishing is slow.... smelt is the bait of choice. had one flag on shore peel off some line and lost him in the sticks. There was about 4-6" of ice. good luck this weekend!

Rabbits Feet & Four Leaf Clovers are my bait of choice when fishing there! ;D

Although there are some decent fish there, its got to be one of the slowest lakes Ive ever fished!

I wondered how that lake fished.  Doesn't seem to have humps on the state depth maps? Just stops off from shore and a few points.
