Weather
« on: Feb 17, 2012, 11:00 AM »
Just looked at all the weather conditions for the next 10 days from central NH down.  Not good at all :'(.  Next week will probably be my last outings unless something huge changes in the weather.  Time to satar thining of Salmon, Trout and Ocean fish.  Wonder what the lack of runoff will do to the streams and spring stocking?

Saturday will be my last trip.. PISC benefit next week end .. plugfest the week after.. that will bring me to  mid March.. most years I'd fish until it wasn't legal.. this year.. not so much.. I prefer taking baths in warm water........Just enough time to finish some striper plugs  time and  get the boat ready for Salmon season...

It's bizarre for sure this winter.

Next weekend will be my last weekend for the season. Time to have some family time before long spring trout/salmon, then cod season, then stripers, then hunting. Oh boy....can you say divorce. hahaha

since going through the ice i have lost all steam when it comes to ice fishing...already have my new gear for this coming bass season...the boat goes in the water in 2 weeks...enough of this crap
when chuck norris played golf for money, chuck marked down a hole in zero every time, the golf pro said, "chuck: you can't score zero on a hole." Chuck norris turned towards the man and said, "I'm chuck norris, the man proceeded to pour gas over his body and set himself on fire because that would be less painful than getting roundhouse kicked by chuck norris....chuck norris roundhouse kicked him in the face anyways

I've been through a few times.. all beaver trapping... somtimes you have to take those kicks that life gives you ..dust off your boots ( or wring out your socks) and get back at it.. if I quit striper fishing every time i got knocked up side the head by a wave or had water in the cockpit. i'd a become a couch patoto long ago.. ya got's to face your fears.. or else they will consume you..

I think Roc is right, you need to ride the horse again, and the ice is sweating, and sweaty ice makes for hungry bass.  WWCND?  I think he would roundhouse kick the ice, yup, that's what he would do and the ice would be so scared it would lift him out, appologize and reseal itself.  Scary stuff but you are still here so you were prepared enough.

Yes very strange season, the partrige, and water foul will make out well for a breeding year though.  I'm getting more worried about the lack of run off.  This is actually turning into a rather big weather event.  I might even take a shot on a double corn crop this year.  Last time I recall one of those was 1991 when it was like 98 or 101 at the in manchester in late April.

Went out on Friday in the Seacoast area and the ice was 5 inches and diminishing.  I might go out tomorrow and then that is likely it. Sad.
The Quest continues
