as far as the price goes that's not to bad (they are wood right ? ) I like to run mine 10"- 13" with the back to belly length bigger but for $20 you can't have everything the way you want it. Truth is that it does not matter what I think only what the fish like and those will grab some eyes that's for sure

Does this guy make these from home and if so does he live near you  :-\

Those are some nice patterns. I know I'd strike at them!  ;D They should produce for you. It looks like the tails are a solid part of the body on each. Is there enough curve in the tails to get a good circular swim pattern?  Have you got them wet yet?

$20.00 is a good deal. here is one I did for a good friend for $25.00 and that was just for supplies and not my time. Most hand carved decoys I see are double that.

"wow very cool looking decoy, I love the copper fins" (thats my next step is to make a few tiny ones ) but I gotta ask where you spent the $25, are you taking in to account on how many other decoys can be made from the extra supplies or is that really how much it costs to make one  :-\

sorry some of the supplies can be used agone, but I did the math just now, and I figure I have $15.00 in to this decoy and I told him I would bulid it for him for $20.00 and he gave me $5.00 more because he was so happy.
It's 6" long small but I don't know about tiny. I spear a lake with no size limit and my grandparents love pike, so a small decoy works for me. I started spearing and carving after seeing posts on this site, so thanks for the comments and great looking decoys Blackhawk and son.  :)

yeah my decoys are not of very high quality as most are and are not the prettiest (they work great and bring in the fish though) and my figures come out to be under $5 for any of the decoys I make. With the bottle cap in the picture I just kinda took it for granted that it was a tiny one (I thought about 3 to 4 inches  ::) )

Higgins you have to get one of these if you like slow decoys not impressed with the shiner but the perch is killer never had a pike hammer a decoy like this perch .One thing i learned is you have to have a light decoy line i was using 30#braid you want something with a small diameter or it will drag in the water.
