Has Magic set yet?

I have been hankering to make a trip to Magic... Anyone know the condition of the middle yet?

I talked to the owner of West Side Resort Thursday and he said there is lots of wet slushy snow on very thin ice and no one is going out yet, however the temps have been quite low at nights since then. I do know Hot Springs Landing was about 16" thick 3 weeks ago but I haven't fished it since.

I hear it's fishable now. Don't know how thick it is or if there are areas that are still not safe. I saw a pic of some folks that were out there this weekend straight out from the main boat ramp. Check with the resort before you go. It's been cold the last few days, hopefully it won't get too warm again.

ps the resort is not open on Mondays or Tuesdays.
